There are two Community Vehicles. Clients with mobility issues and/or other disabilities must be accompanied by a caregiver/friend. They operate between the hours of 9.30am and 4.30pm, Mon – Fri (excl public holidays) and travel within a 20km (approx.) radius of Dannevirke town centre

The Memory Matters collection, that includes a range of items specially selected to help stimulate memories, increase connection and improve wellbeing, was developed in consultation with groups across the country, as well as local organisations like Alzheimers Manawatu for people with dementia, their caregivers and their whānau.
This includes books about dementia and books aimed at adults with varying levels of memory loss; jigsaw puzzles; music players; fidget widgets; games; activity boards; aquapaints and more. These collections are in the central library and Roslyn Library.
Also on offer (subject to availability) are a large print collection, visits to rest homes and groups tailored to peoples' different interests; tech experiences using robots, apps, and virtual reality; dementia-friendly book groups.
