Alzheimers Manawatu runs annual Memory Walks in Levin, Palmerston North, Feilding and Dannevirke in September to raise awareness of dementia and let people know about Alzheimers Manawatu's services.

Rest homes are also encouraged to Move for Dementia during September which is Alzheimers awareness month.
